Can I try ProducerDash before I buy it?
Yes. Create a free producerdash.com account, download ProducerDash, and start a 7 day trial from inside the app. No card, and nothing charges automatically when it ends. The trial is tied to the Mac rather than the account, so making a second account will not restart it. DeckBuilder and Stage Plot Viewer are free outright, with no trial and nothing to buy.
What do I get when I buy PrompterFlow?
A license to use Version 1 of PrompterFlow on your own Macs, with no subscription and no recurring charge. That covers every 1.x update we release, at no extra cost. After you buy, sign in to your account and grab the latest version from your dashboard. There are no activation codes, and you do not need internet to run it after the first sign in. The full plain language terms are on our License Terms page, linked at the bottom of every page.
Why do I have to sign in at all?
So we know who you are. It gives you a direct line to us and lets your apps get updates. You sign in once to activate this Mac, and that activation sticks: no codes, no dongle, no license to renew. Signing in is a separate thing from that. Once in a while the app may ask you to sign in again, which is just your login session expiring, the way logins normally do. That is not your license and does not undo your activation, so your access is unaffected and the app keeps running.
What happens if ProducerDash goes away?
Your installed copy does not depend on us to keep running. If our servers went away tomorrow, every Mac you have already activated keeps working exactly as it does today, because the app does not need us to reach it. The only thing that needs our server is activating a Mac that is not activated yet. And if we ever wind this down, we will publish a final build that does not need activation at all, so you are never locked out of the apps you rely on.
What happens when a new version releases?
Minor updates (v1.1, v1.2, and so on) are free for everyone who owns v1, for both ProducerDash and PrompterFlow. When a v2.0 ships, v1 owners get 50% off. You will never be forced to upgrade, and v1 keeps working.
Do I need internet to run the apps?
Once a Mac is activated, the app runs on your Mac and local network with no internet. Being offline, or us being unreachable, does not lock you out: if the app cannot confirm your account it keeps you activated and carries on. A PrompterFlow trial is the exception, because a trial is not an activation and it checks in with us each time it starts, so keep that Mac online until you buy. Some features do use the internet when it is there, like the livestream indicator, update checks, and cloud sync for your service log, but none of them are needed to run the app.
What platform do the apps run on?
ProducerDash and PrompterFlow run on Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or newer), macOS 12 Monterey or later, with at least 8GB of RAM. Intel Macs are not supported, and Windows support is planned for a future version. Stage Plot Viewer is universal, so it also runs on Intel Macs.
Can I run the apps on multiple computers?
Yes. ProducerDash, DeckBuilder and PrompterFlow each cover 2 Macs per account. Sign in to your account and download on any 2 Macs you own. PrompterFlow can go further: extra seats are $49.99 each from your dashboard, and every seat adds one more Mac, so your whole team can run it under one account. Stage Plot Viewer has no sign in and no limit at all, so run it on as many Macs as you like.
What if my Mac dies, or I replace it?
You move it yourself, in about ten seconds. Remove the old Mac from My Devices in your account dashboard and that slot frees up straight away, even if the Mac is broken or long gone. Then sign in on the new Mac to activate it there. You can move it whenever you need to, and you never have to contact us to get your own software back.
What do I need to run it?
An Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer) on macOS 12 Monterey or later, with at least 8GB of RAM, on your local network. ProducerDash works best with ProPresenter for the order of service, a Blackmagic ATEM switcher for camera tally, and a USB microphone or audio interface for the SPL meter. PrompterFlow needs a MIDI interface only if you use MIDI output; triggering ProPresenter works over the network with no extra hardware.
